We are excited to announce that we are moving to a new warehouse to better serve our customers. During this transition, we will be pausing order fulfilment from 17th June to 1st July.
Situated in the beautiful streets of Woollahra, this former 1970’s single story site has been transformed into a contemporary home designed for an empty-nester couple, needing to accommodate their visiting extended family.
Co-Ap designed the home, which has been short listed for several awards, to allow light to infiltrate the living areas and in keeping with the original design, included an internal courtyard providing flexibility living, bringing the outdoors space in.
Situated over two floors, a variety of materials have been used for the interior including hardwoods for the joinery and flooring, cool concrete and terrazzo. Masonry, concrete and metal cladding were used on the exterior of the home. Will Fung, co-founder of CO-AP explains;
“The architecture is strong, and the material palette is rich, yet the outcome is restrained through thoughtful detailing and selection of soft furnishings.”
– Will Fung
The design incorporated the Flos 265 White Wall Light suspended over the minty green sculptural staircase which travels through all levels of the home and is a strong focal point in the design.
“We encouraged the client to discover what they liked, and we took on the challenge to bring these choices together in a cohesive way”
– Will Fung
The brief for the lighting was for an economical and quality fitting. Reggiani Sunny Led family were used as surface and track mount adjustable spots in the grey finish to match the bare faced concrete used in the living room.
The bathroom with natural stone on the wall and floor uses Reggiani Sunny Led adjustable spots as well as the very popular Mini Glo Ball C/W glass wall lamps designed in 2002 by Jaspar Morrison for Flos.
