Chia-Ying Lee, originally from Taiwan, pursued a career in new media and industrial design. She completed her education at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in 2006. Following a three-year tenure at PEGA Design & Engineering, she founded her own studio, Studio if, in December 2011. Her creative endeavors seamlessly merge design, art, and technology, manifesting in tangible forms ranging from products to installations. Collaborating with notable institutions such as the National Taiwan Art Museum and the JUT Foundation for Arts and Architecture, Chia-Ying Lee's studio also engages in the limited production of her works for distribution in Europe, Taipei, and Beijing. Her noteworthy projects have garnered recognition through various awards, including the "IF China Product Design Award," "Taiwan Excellence Award," and "SDA Best Design of The Year." In 2015, she earned a spot among the IFFS Asian Star Talents and concurrently crafted the design for Random at Studio Italia Design.
