NAB’s state of the art offices situated in the heart of Melbourne, NAB Place Melbourne stands as a pivotal workspace for the bank's Melbourne-based employees, along with 700 Bourke Street in Docklands. Spanning across 39 levels, the awe-inspiring building radiates with natural light, fostering a diverse range of working environments. A prominent feature includes a sprawling three story customer lounge, providing a dynamic space for NAB customers and employees to connect.

At full capacity, the building accommodate's a staggering 5,600 employees, a testament to NAB's dedication to advancing collaboration and ensuring a close connection between employees and customers. NAB Group Executive, Technology and Enterprise Operations, Patrick Wright, highlighted the bank's long standing support for flexible working, which was accelerated by the global pandemic's impact, further promoting hybrid work arrangements.

The architectural brilliance behind NAB Place Melbourne stems from the expertise of renowned firms, Woods Bagot and Hassell. The collaborative effort of these creative minds has resulted in a destination workplace that instills a strong sense of belonging and connectivity with the bustling city.

NAB Place Melbourne prioritises the well being of its employees, boasting airy interiors that maximise natural light and foster a sense of tranquillity. To encourage eco friendly commuting options, the building provides 644 bike parking spaces and end of trip facilities for cycling enthusiasts. Furthermore, the premises encompass parent rooms, spacious exercise studios, multi-faith rooms, and serene spaces for quiet contemplation.

The lighting design for the NAB Foyer Village showcased a remarkable transformation from the typical lighting setup, incorporating a harmonious blend of Reggiani Yori Recessed Adjustable fixtures, Flos Infra-Structure Systems with direct and indirect Linier lighting, Suspension Panels, and Spots, as well as the practical elegance of Flos Landlord Soft IP65 and Light Supply Recessed Adjustable luminaires. The Flos Tab T and Tab F Decorative floor and table lamps added the perfect finishing touch to create a captivating and inviting atmosphere.

The integration of Flos Tab Table and Tab Floor decorative lighting alongside the w182 Wästberg Pastille table lamp transformed the typical office space into an inviting and functional environment with carefully curated levels of lighting.

The NAB Podium & Transfer areas' showcases an ingenious fusion of lighting elements, creating an environment that seamlessly marries form and functionality. The strategic integration of Flos Light Supply Recessed Adjustable fixtures offers a dynamic lighting solution, adapting effortlessly to diverse needs. Complementing this, the Flos Infra-Structure Systems combine direct and indirect linear lighting with spotlight accents and suspension panels, orchestrating elements of illumination that creates zones and adds depth to the space. As the outdoors gracefully extends indoors, Flos Landlord Soft IP65 fixtures bring the same warmth and allure to interior spaces. Elevating the ambiance with a touch of elegance, the Wastberg w181 Linier fixtures complete the narrative, presenting an inspiring synergy of modernity and innovation that epitomises the NAB office's design philosophy.

Extensive planning was imperative due to the distinctive ceiling selections that spanned across many of the areas. The electrical contractors displayed remarkable proficiency during installation, particularly in spaces where ceilings played a pivotal role in the overall interior design, aligning seamlessly with the Architects' envisioned outcomes.

A core focus on adaptability was evident in each space, and this approach was beautifully complemented by the strategic implementation of task lighting, skillfully intertwining with the luminaire systems to enhance and visually amplify the underlying interior concepts.
