Sarfatti worked with various designers, such as Pietro Chiesa and Vittoriano Viganò and was able to tap into the potential of modern technology to create elegant, wash lighting products. Sarfatti remained at the helm of his company Arteluce until 1974, when he sold the business to Flos. His last major project was the exhibition of his work at the Fondazione Prada in Milan in 2002. Sarfatti’s work was and continues to be respected for its creativity and timelessness, and is still showcased in museums, galleries and private collections today. Gino Sarfatti died on 22 January 1984 in Milan.
Flos are conscious that sustainability is not ‘a’ key point, but ‘the’ key point for getting through present and future times. It is the generating source of a new mindfulness era and the pivotal topic of Flos’ acting as a responsible manufacturing company.
