Ironside’s striking new workplace reflects the ethos and aspirations of the boutique building company; to create enduring projects driven by detail, quality and authenticity. Specialising in multi-residential developments, Ironside’s brief expressed a desire for approachability and warmth while providing environments to bolster the community-driven culture of the company.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s South, Brahman Perera designed the interior of the head office using the Wästberg Extra Large pendants over the meeting tables. With its exaggerated dimensions, w151 Extra large pendant boldly rejects today’s reductivism while bringing back the pendant lamp’s room-shaping qualities.

Its three super-sized shades combine scale, geometry, and high-quality light in one grand gesture. Despite its size, w151 Extra large pendant is surprisingly thin, yet equally strong. Paired with carefully-planned details and the soft, papery matte finish, the result is illusory – almost otherworldly – when experienced.

The Toio by Flos sits against grey polished walls and luxurious textures. Its designers named it for the English word for “toy,” for good reason: This inventive lamp inspires the imagination, blending an industrial style with a timeless and whimsical design. It’s easy to see why this legendary favorite—designed by the famed Castiglioni brothers—has garnered so many awards, even earning a place in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The Toio floor lamp has an enamel steel base that supports a hexagon shaped, nickel-plated brass stem. Along the stem are fishing rod rings used to guide the electrical cord from the bulb to the transformer. A cleat on the base, like that found on a boat or ship, serves as a functional element designed to keep the cord neatly coiled in when the lamp is adjusted to a lower height.

Inspiration behind the design: The contemporary floor lamp was designed by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who were inspired by a car’s headlight.

The Toio comes with an incandescent bulb and provides indirect light. Adjustable height. Available in black, red or white finish.
