“The carefully calibrated LED technology which powers the lamps is discretely integrated into the junctions between the glass modules. Almost absent, but ready to be activated at any (night-) time.”

According to Grcic

Illuminating Flos’ Milanese showroom for the Salone del Mobile was an installation of the Nocatambule lighting collection by German industrial designer, Konstantin Grcic.

Nocatambule, which in French describes the night owl or reveller, is a collection that combines hand blown glass and LED technology to create lighting which is seemingly invisible during the day – transforming into a glamorous hive of activity once the sun goes down.

The visual language of the collection is derived from cylindrical glass modules that act, individually, as lanterns though combine to form columns or chandeliers of light with additional glass dome and cone shaped heads to aid performance as floor lamps or pendants.Noctambule is available in the following configurations.
