Euroluce X Wästberg Event Sydney

Last week our Sydney Light Studio was transformed, showcasing a range of lighting pieces from internationally acclaimed Swedish lighting company Wästberg.

The exhibition style event welcomed leading architects, designers and lighting professionals to our Light Studio located on Hill Street, Surry Hills, displaying a range of products including the W182 Pastille, W102 Chipperfield, W171 Alma, W132 Nendo, W103 Sempé and the impressive W151 Extra Large pendants.

From London Clerkenwell Design week, CEO and founder Magnus Wästberg brought his talk Lamps for Neanderthal Man, a manifesto discussing lighting through the ages. Wästberg is a company aimed at bringing back light to human proximity, by restoring the private spheres man has been deprived of during decades of misguided pursuit of efficiency and standardisation.

Wästberg continues to work in close collaboration with some of the world’s most renowned architects, designers and lighting experts, including internationally acclaimed Nendo, David Chipperfield, Inge Sempé and Jasper Morrison, and have earned prestigious awards for their combination of aesthetics, cutting-edge technology and resource conservation.

Read one of our latest features 5 Minutes with Magnes Wästberg, where we get an insight into the Swedish brand built on the notion of light as a source of safety and comfort.

Wästberg lighting range is available to view online and in our Sydney & Melbourne Light Studios.
