FLOS pays tribute to its best-known lamp, the Arco floor lamp, by giving it a new lease of life
To mark the Fiftieth birthday of the Arco floor lamp, which coincides with the company’s Fiftieth anniversary, Flos have released the world’s most iconic lamp in LED.
The original design of the Arco, by visionary designers; brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, will remain as it has since its conception in 1962, but now offered with LED. For those purists, please rest assured the original Halogen versions are still available.
The integrated LED light source is cleverly hidden behind a white opalescent diffuser, resulting in an extraordinarily uniform and high quality lighting performance, and still emits light through the perforations at the top of the shade – which can form delightful light and shadows to the ceiling.
